Description Application

Motor oil M-8G2k (GOST 8581-2021) is obtained by blending distillate and residual components derived from sulfurous oils with an additive composition. Oils of the G2 group are produced from sulfurous and low-sulfur oils. All oils in this group contain significantly more effective additives than oils of the B2 group.

Used for winter operation of non-supercharged or low-pressure supercharged automotive diesel engines. It differs from oils M-8G2 and M-10G2 only by significantly more effective additive compositions, which allows for extended oil change intervals, successfully using oil M-8G2k in modern KamAZ and ZIL vehicles, as well as in Ikarus buses. The high degree of alloying of G2 group oils allows them to be used in more severe conditions, where high thermal stability, better anti-oxidative, washing-dispersing, neutralizing, and anti-wear properties are required. High-speed diesel engines lubricated with G2 group oils operate on distillate fuels with a sulfur content of up to 0.5% (mass fraction), while medium- and low-speed marine diesel engines with a large cylinder diameter operate on fuels with up to 1.5% (mass fraction).
