The semi-synthetic oil VNIINP M-5z/16D2 is designed for all-season operation of highly boosted turbocharged transport diesel engines. It can be used as a replacement for oils M-16IKP-3 and MT-16P in B-2 type transport diesels and in similar naturally aspirated diesels with the same level of boost.

Suitable for year-round use at ambient temperatures from minus 25 °C to 45 °C. VNIINP oil M-5z/16D2 is the only domestic motor oil approved for use in the engines of modern and prospective models of Russian armored fighting vehicles. It is produced using a package of high-quality additives. Complies with SAE 15W-40 and API CD.
